Amaroq Weiss

Senior West Coast Wolf Advocate,  Center for Biological Diversity.

Amaroq Weiss is the Senior Wolf Advocate with the Center for Biological Diversity. A biologist and former attorney, Amaroq has worked in wolf recovery and conservation advocacy for the northern Rockies, Alaska, the Southwest, Pacific West and at the federal level, for the past 24 years. At present her work focuses chiefly on wolf issues in West Coast states and on the federal front, but also state-level actions in the northern Rockies and Western Great Lakes regions. She was a stakeholder representative in the two separate state processes to draft wolf conservation and management plans in Oregon and California, and is the author, co-author and editor of multiple publications on wolf conservation, wolf recovery and state wolf planning processes.
