Peter Kiermeier

A 66-year old retired air traffic controller, Peter Kiermeier came to wildlife conservation 25 years ago. He joined FFW (Friends of the Free Living Wolves) Germany’s most important non profit nature conservation organisation, shortly after its foundation in 2004 after wolves from Poland dispersed into East Germany with the fall of the Iron Curtain. FFW is dedicated exclusively to the protection of wild wolves in Germany and is a member of EAWC’s steering committee. Over the years Peter has acted for FFW in different capacities, primarily in the field of international affairs.
