Talasi Brooks

Talasi Brooks is a staff attorney with Western Watersheds Project, where her work focuses on protecting native carnivores, saving the sage-grouse, and reining in abusive public lands livestock grazing.  She earned her JD, along with an MS in Environmental Studies, from the University of Montana in 2013, and clerked for Justice Michael E Wheat of the Montana Supreme Court from 2013-14.  Before beginning law school, Talasi worked on trail crews for the U.S. Forest Service and various nonprofits and howled with wolves in the heart of the Idaho wilderness.  She serves on the Board of the national nonprofit Wilderness Watch and as President of the Idaho State Bar Environment and Natural Resources Section.
