Marc Cooke

Founder / Executive Director of Wolves of the Rockies

Marc is a proud US military veteran and served his country in both Desert Storm and Desert shield. He and his wife Lorenza have called Montana home for over twenty years. During that time, his passion for protecting Rocky Mountain wolves has grown into a full-time, volunteer job.

He counts one of his greatest WOTR successes as the reduction of wolf quotas around the park. Marc has been equally successful in collaborating on Montana’s wolf issues. He has been a member of the following local committees: Montana Wolf Advisory, Finding Common Ground, MtFWP Region 2 Citizen Advisory, and Ravalli Country Collaborative.

For fun, Marc enjoys floating on the river, backcountry expeditions with his wife and friends, and caring for his much older horse, Red. And of course, he is always ready to sit, have a cup of coffee and talk about wolves.
