Animal Wellness Action
Director of State Affairs
Lain Kahlstrom is a life-long animal advocate, who makes use of practices learned in her professional career in management consulting and change management to facilitate protection for wildlife. She has volunteered with dozens of organizations over the years, providing everything from thought-leadership, campaign direction, public testimony, signature gathering, to hands-on care (and everything in between). She currently serves as the Director of State Affairs for Animal Wellness Action, working with advocates across the country to bring about legislative and regulatory wins for animals. Current projects include initiatives to stop the killing of wolves in WA state, end the trophy hunting of black bears in CA, and curtail wild horse round-ups in the Western states, and of course, she’d love to see the end of wildlife killing contests everywhere!
